TND Program Evaluation and Research
Project TND has been rigorously tested, with seven research trials and over 8,600 youth participants, to date. More than 5,700 youth from 42 high schools in Southern California, and over 2,800 youth from 45 high schools outside of California across the U.S. have participated in our research on the program. We have evaluated program effectiveness in alternative (continuation) and traditional high schools, and the student populations have been ethnically varied, including African American (5-26%), Latino/Hispanic (28-46%), Asian (1-7%) and White (36-45%) students. We have collected data in rural, urban and suburban schools across the nation.

To date, we have conducted seven randomized experimental studies in which schools that received the program were compared to schools that did not receive the program. We have evaluated the efficacy of the TND program, with evidence that spans across all seven research trials in a chapter that can be downloaded below.
